ASH 30 Mi, ASH 31 Mi und ASG 29 E on display

The next generation of Open Class gliders on display: ASH 30 Mi

Only a few days after its successful maiden flight the ASH 30 Mi was on display at the AERO trade fair. The very positive response of the international gliding community already indicates that this new Open Class 2-seater will be another very successful Schleicher model.

Not only the very elegant appearance but also the significantly enlarged front and rear cockpits received special praise. Countless visitors took the opportunity to check the aircraft for size and even the tallest and largest amongst them were impressed.

An improved rudder pedal adjustment and the in-flight adjustable backrests allow pilots of all shapes and sizes to enjoy long hours of soaring without any compromises to occupant safety and comfort. "This aircraft is made for comfort - it fits me like a glove" was a comment our visitors made regularly

Winning almost all major competitions including the world championship ensured that the interest in the ASG 29 E was equally large.

The same applied to the ASH 31 Mi, which only went into series production last year. Even customers with firm orders for this aircraft travelled to Friedrichshafen for the opportunity to sit in their new glider and experience the roomy cockpit. They were impressed and are now looking forward to taking delivery with keen anticipation.

The questions of glider pilots from all corners of the globe were answered by managing director Ulrich Kremer and members of the design team such as Martin Heide, Michael Greiner, Joschka Schmeisl und Manfred Münch. Even Gerhard Waibel came out of retirement to assist the team and so did our agents Ruedi Barth (Switzerland) and Guido Achleitner jun. (Austria)
