Our production facilities are continuing to fill up with parts for the new AS 33.  In parallel, flight testing and certification procedures have advanced significantly and are nearly completed.

First customers will receive fully certified aircraft

New EASA regulations no longer permit – as in the past – that the first series production aircraft can only be operated with a “Permit To Fly” until the overall certification process is completed.

For this reason, during the whole project much attention has been paid to completing all the necessary verifications on time. Consequently, we are now in the happy position of obtaining the EASA Type Certificate as soon as all the flight tests have been completed. This means that the first AS 33 deliveries can be made with full type approval.

Despite all the problems resulting from the Covid 19 pandemic and the consequent travel restrictions for government representatives involved in the approval process, we are confident that the AS 33 certification process will be completed in September. Shortly we are also counting on making the first flight of the 15m version. Stay tuned!
