ASH 31 Mi – and ASG 29 – pilots win at the US-Nationals
Doug Jacobs and Sean Fidler US-Champions 2017
Even if the number of competition days was rather small, we can nevertheless congratulate the Schleicher pilots on their outstanding results at the US nationals in Cordele (GA).
Doug Jacobs wins the Open class in his ASH 31 Mi and becomes the new US champion. Second place went to Dick Butler in his Concordia. Sam Zimmermann (ASH 31 Mi) and Roger Buchanan (ASH 30 Mi) came 4th and 5th and were able to stay close to the leaders. Pete Alexander (ASG 32 Mi) placed 8th.
15m Class
Five ASG 29 pilots finished in a tight group at the top of the 15m class standings.
Sean Fidler is the new US champion, leading the group of five ASG 29s.
He was followed by Gary Ittner (2nd place), Robert Fletcher (3rd place), Sergei Morozov (4th place) and Robin Clark in 5th place.
