Stefan Langer is the World Champion!
In an exciting heat battle over 12 days, he achieves a historic success. The first world championship title for an 18m self-launcher and an 18m electric glider in one!
Stefan almost achieved a start-to-finish success, as he took first place with his new AS 33 Me from day 2 onwards. Despite some difficult scoring days, Stefan flew consistently and dominated the overall standings until the end. In doing so, he achieved something that no one had ever managed before:
The overall victory with a self-launcher in the 18m class. The icing on the cake of this victory: it was our new electric self-launcher, the AS 33 Me. Stefan has thus secured himself an entry in the history books. It is also worth mentioning that Stefan was the only electric self-launcher in Uvalde to take off in self-launch every day. Proof that our Me System works perfectly in any conditions.
A full report on Stefan’s experiences will be published here in the coming days in the form of an interview.

But it wasn’t just Stefan who had reason to celebrate. The Rubaj & Matkowski team took second place overall in the 20 m class. They flew their ASG 32 Mi steadily forward and achieved very good results. Congratulations to them!
