AS Pilots become Australian champions in three classes
While the competition season in Germany is long over, task speed averages exceeded 140km/hr during the 2015 Australian championships.
ASG 29 pilot John Buchanan became Australian Sports class champion by winning the last day’s task of 425 km at an average speed of 142 km/hr.
This was only topped by guest pilot Mike Young of Great Britain, who finished in top spot at the end of the competition, also with an ASG 29. His five daily wins and an average speed of 143 km/hr on the 10th day were certainly remarkable achievements.
