As compared to the Ka 6 the only difference of the B-version is the span increase to 15 m. Additionally, the Ka 6 BR was equipped with a fixed wheel.
With the Ka 6 BR Heinz Huth achieved a third place in the Standard Class at the 1958 World Championships in Leszno, Poland. In addition, OSTIV s awarded the Ka 6 BR the prize for the best standard class sailplane.
The Ka 6 BR “D-4339” shown in the photo gallery was Rudolf Kaisers personal sailplane. His son Dr. Hans-Georg Kaiser has donated this sailplane to the Soaring Museum on the Wasserkuppe.
