AS 33 – in big steps towards the prototype
The engineering team works with a lot of effort to start the series production of the new AS 33. Final structural and fluid dynamic calculations are completed with promising results.
Main focus on high speed and climbing
In modern CFD simulations the AS 33 already demonstrated her advantages: We expect best high speed gliding performances in 15m/18m – class. Furthermore the new airfoils with improved high lift characteristics guarantee very well climbing qualities although the wing area is very small.

Molds completed
Meanwhile not only in the desing office but also in the factory a lot of work is done on the AS 33. Right now all mouldings are available and the production of the first wing has started.

Completing the first AS 33 fuselage in the next weeks and joining them with the wings makes us looking forward to see the whole glider in real. The CFD optimised winglets with novel design are already finished.
