Rudolf Kaiser designed the training two-seater Ka 4 “Rhönlerche II” during a time when he commuted often between Dachau (Scheibe) and Poppenhausen (Schleicher). Ludwig Krönung had the main responsibility for construction at that time. It was also he who made the work at Schleicher attractive for Rudolf Kaiser. After weighing all the pros and cons Kaiser finally decided for Poppenhausen and to stay there permanently.
