Father Klaus Keim with his happy World Champion

Exactly ten years after first becoming world champion, Katrin Senne repeated this terrific success, this time in the 18m class at the 2017 Women’s World Championships in Zbraslavice, Czech Republic.

It began slowly for the ASG 29 pilot.

But, after an eighth place on the first competition day, she continually moved up and first reached the podium with a win on the 5th competition day.

12 Competition Days

On the 9th competition day Katrin was able to take over first place overall from the very capable French pilots Marilyne Abadie-Bérard (ASG 29) and Mélanie Gadoulet.

With a further daily win on the 11th competition day she solidified her hold on the title and was also not deterred on the 12th and last day.

Our sincerest congratulations on this victory!  We also congratulate the new world champions in the other two classes, Sabrina Vogt (Germany, Club class) and Aude Grangeray (France, Standard class).
