This year’s 30th anniversary edition of AERO took place from April 17 to 20, and to the great delight of many, gliding also returned this time. For the first time with its own hall for the Gliding Expo, which was specially tailored to the needs of gliding. For all those who were unable to attend in person, we would like to share some impressions in this review.
Success at the Aerokurier Innovation Award 2024
The Aerokurier Innovation Awards 2024 took place again this year as part of the opening day of the AERO. Our AS 33 Me competed against the Ventus E, JS 3 Res and others. Our 8-person exhibition team was present when we defended our title with a 37% share of the vote and won this year’s innovation award. Of course, we would also like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude. Thank you for your support, your votes and the trust you have shown in us. We are very proud to have won this award for the fourth consecutive year and this motivates us to continue to deliver top performance in the coming years and hopefully bring this award to Poppenhausen even more often.
The exhibition stand with a world premiere
This year, our stand proudly presented four gliders from our current product range: the ASK 21 B, AS 33 Me, AS 34 Me and, as a premiere, our AS 35 Mi. As expected, the latter attracted a great degree of interest and a large crowd. For the first time, enthusiasts were able to experience all the modifications live, even the smallest ones. But the AS 35 Mi was not just an exhibit; it also enabled us to receive feedback from you in order to optimize the further development process and make the AS 35 Mi an absolute dream glider. Finally, we would like to thank all visitors for the great discussions and their visit. For us as a manufacturer, the International Air Show is an enormous effort and a very intense time. Nevertheless, we always enjoy meeting you and talking to you about exciting experiences and our gliders. We are already looking forward to the next exhibition and to more interesting conversations with you!
